Hello October! October is my favorite month of the year, hands down. It is also the month of my birthday, hello 49. I am loving the age I am, growing older isn't something I thought I would get to do. Somehow, here we are. I am an author of a number of books and pursuing a Ph.D. This life is wild, especially when one considers that the world is on fire right now. Book news! I have caught up on my paperbacks. Olivia's Prison, Olivia's Flight, A Dream of Blood, and A Dream of Wolves are all available in paperback now. The Vampire Kings series is getting an omnibus, that will release before the end of the year. I have A Dream of Stone plotted and Olivia's Family is being plotted now. I am also writing a dark Red Riding Hood retelling, she isn't the victim in this one. That is being posted on my Patreon in chapters as I write it. In addition I am starting a new series called Witches Reclaimed. And I just got the covers from my cover artist. Aren't they beautiful? So I will be putting things up for preorder very soon. Beyond that, my website is the only place where I am still doing free first in series books.

Fall is right on time for me and my Daemon. Cooler weather and the smell of cooler mornings to come. Love. Last Tuesday was rough for us, though more for him. He had four seizures within about 45 minutes. And then a stay at the 24 hour emergency vet. Three thousand dollars later he came home with an additional prescription and a fancy new emergency medication. I really fucking hope I never have to use that medication. Hello! Has it been a long month for you? Or maybe just avery long year... My update is not super this month. My cat, Christmas, is missing. My grown daughter neglected to shut the front door fully and she got out. I hope she'll come back but who knows? I keep food out for her just in case, even though the only creature I have seen eating the food is a fat possum (fucking adorable). Daemon's no seizure streak ended with 58 days.
