December tales and flails

Hello!

It's nearly mid-December already. Have I finished half what I need to this month? Nearly, yes. All in all I am fairly pleased with how the month is going. I m managing to get sleep in spite of my husband's best efforts to disturb it. I am nearly fully over the pork exposure from the end of November, it really is great not feeling like I have asthma. *If you have asthma and deal with that on a regular basis you are an absolute fucking rockstar and I hope you give yourself credit for that.*

Sin on a Cursed Heart is nearly finished, though my other project keeps butting in, insisting I do some work on it. The other project? Feminist horror stories. I am loving them so much. I don't know if any of you remember the Twilight Zone series that was on tv when I was much younger (and maybe replays somewhere even now), but these stories are a what you would get if you took the Twilight Zone and ran it through feminism and then sprinkled in feminine rage and the lid fell off.
They are wild, gruesome, and a lot of really bad men are finding a nasty exit from this planet.

I have had some people read the first drafts for feedback, because I generally try to keep things a little more tame in the PNR worlds I write in, so I wasn't sure where the lines should be for this. So far, the feedback is generally that I should add more of the gruesome description. And that is what I will work on for the next pass through. Adding in all the extra details.

I have added a books in progress gallery to the front page of my website. I am currently working on roughly four books. I want to get Sin on a Cursed Heart finished first, because I need to order the special editions for my Kickstarter. But, once that is finished, I will be spreading the work out more evenly. So far, the publishing schedule is:

Sin on a Cursed Heart: April 2025

A Dream of Wolves: June 2025

Olivia's Flight: August 2025

A Dream of Ravens: November 2025

Feminist Horror novellas releasing in March, May, July, September, October, and December

I can wait to share these with you!

In the meantime, have you read this book? It is my holiday themed witchy novella boxset: https://rhiannonfutchauthor.com/smexy-books/witch-holidays-boxset/

That's it for now. I will be emailing a second time this month, with a fun surprise after Christmas. Whatever you celebrate, I hope your holiday season is good.

March, already? The Kindle Unlimited author world is in an uproar over the idea of the amazon boycott. They are worried about losing their livelihoods and that is reasonable. However, I think they are handling it the wrong way. I realize this is my opinion and everyone is free to handle their career however they like. But it's my newsletter and this is heavy on my mind right now. In my opinion, this is the perfect time for those authors to start diversifying. As their books come to the end of...

February has been a wild ride of a super fast month. I am hopeful that March will be a little slower, a little easier. It's not probable considering the way the world, and especially the US, are on fire. So, for February, I worked my ass and now have two books publishing within the next week or so. They are available now from my website (plus there is always a code for 25% off!) Get my books now! All of the above will take you directly to my website where you can get those now, with a...

Welcome to February... New readers, hello and welcome! The world is on fire right now and whether you are a long time subscriber or brand new, I hope my books give you a respite from the blaze. My February started with my dog Daemon having a third seizure in less than three months. For those that are not familiar with what that means, it is one of the criteria for diagnosing epilepsy in dogs. His vet came by and drew blood to get his labs going and have a baseline for him as well as make sure...
